Nationality Whats this discussion about?

What is my nationality????!  Yes, I too was caught up in this "discussion."  So far I've heard "WE" are the ancient Egyptians, I meant Kemetians, Moors, Nar Moors, the true "indians", the Olmecs, Africans but we can NOT be Africans because Africa is a continent and not a country.  We are NOT Americans due to the same reason as with Africa.

I sat and listened to my thoughts and had some interesting questions such as, why are WE never relative to the Khoisans or the Heroro?  Are these…

A Tale of Two Captains

The most recent story occurred in 2009. Captain Richard Phillips, a merchant mariner, was master of the vessel Maersk Alabama. The vessel was overtaken and Captain Phillips was eventually taken hostage by four Somalian Nationals. Piracy in the territorial waters of Somalia had become an issue following a civil war which collapsed the Somalian central government. With no Somalian Navy, foreign fishing ships began fishing in the territorial waters of Somalia and some large shipping companies…

Pain

I like to fish and one day I was thinking about how it feels when I have had a hook stuck in my hand.  Then I thought about what drives a fish to go the opposite direction when it swallows the fisherman's hook.  I related it to wanting to be free from what is unnatural to the fish.

This thought caused me to initiated a conversation with some friends and I was really surprised by one response in particular.  One individual came to the conclusion that fish and or animals do not feel…

The Minstrel Boy

Today I learned of something contrary to what I had believed to know regarding minstrel.  I had become familiar with a so called white man acting and/or singing in what was called black face to be a minstrel show.  However, "The Minstrel Boy" is an Irish patriotic song written by Thomas Moore regarding the Irish Rebellion of 1798.

Are they one and the same symbol?

Pisces Symbol

It appears to me, if the pisces symbol were rotated onto its side, the connecting bar were removed and the two arcs were reversed and merged you would have one variation of the Ichtys…

God Did It by Kevin Clarkston

God did it! We often hear this phrase, or its other variations—"To God be the glory," "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,"—uttered for different life events, like whenever a new job has been secured, a promotion earned, an ailing friend or family member regains their health, or…

An Examination into the leading principles of the Federal Constitution

In ancient Rome, the king was elective, and so were the consuls, who were the executive officers in the republic. But they were elected by the body of the people, in their public assemblies; and this circumstance paved the way for such excessive bribery and corruption as are wholly unknown in modern times. The president of the United States is also elective; but by a few men--chosen by the several legislatures--under their inspection--separated at a vast distance--and…

Honoring the legacy of Dr. John Henrik Clarke with a Commemorative Stamp

I came across some information, regarding petitioning for a commemorative stamp in honor of Dr. John Henrik Clarke.

Letters or postcards in support of a commemorative stamp in his likeness can be sent to: Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee, U.S. Postal Service, 1735 N. Lynn Street Room 5013, Arlington, VA 22209-6432.

The Committee does not track how many individual people submit a stamp design, only the number of postcards and letters they receive.

In the beginning

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.  Heaven, from the Old English word, heofon, means “home of God.”  Older meanings of the word heaven were sky or firmament.  Heave, from the Old English word, hebban, and the root word of heaven means to lift up, raise or exalt.  Heaven also happens to be the realm of the heavenly bodies.  The word Astronomy…

History Channel-The Men Who Built America

Last evening, I "stumbled" onto the History Channel Series, "The Men Who Built America."

Very interesting information regarding men such as John D. Rockefeller, Cornelius Vanderbilt, Andrew Carnegie, Henry Ford and J.P. Morgan.

After watching the episode involving Andrew Carnegie, I learned of the Homestead Labor Union Strike and the Pinkerton National Detective Agency aka Pinkerton Government Services, Inc.

Who Am I?

I am your constant companion.

I am your greatest helper or heaviest burden.

I will push you onward or drag you down to

failure.

I am completely at your command.

Half of the things you do you might as well turn

over to me and I will do them - quickly and

correctly.

I am easily managed - you must be firm with me.

Show me exactly how you want something done

and after a few lessons, I will do it automatically.

I am the servant of great…

Interesting “Dialogue”?

THEM: Let me ask you a question, ANDRE, what good would believing in no god do for me answer me that, then we can talk..?

ME: To answer your question, I can't tell you what is good for you. So, if you want to have a true meaningful conversation about beliefs, I have to ask you to clarify what does it mean to believe. To follow up, truth must be proved. Theories and beliefs are not truth, no matter how much faith or fear one has. Truth can only be verified mathematically, if it doesn't…

The day I stopped.....

BELIEVING!!  Oh my god has he lost his mind??!! I know many close to me were and are still thinking this but I haven't. I know that I have not lost my mind, I have just found a way to use it and try to understand it.  Believe it or not, it is not a sin or the work of some devil to THINK.  I have always had questions regarding religion and I now find it empowering to think things through instead of believing that I am not in control of whats going, which works best for ME.  My way may not be…

The Ghetto

The 1935 First Edition Columbia Encyclopedia reads, Ghettos originally were sections of a city where the Jews were compelled by the Christians to reside, but now more loosely used to indicate any quarter of a town inhabited chiefly by Jews. The first historically authentic ghetto was established in Rome by Pope Paul IV, in 1555. The medieval ghettos, which usually consisted of a few narrow, dirty, and overcrowded streets with space limitations. Within the ghettos the Jews developed a certain…

Total Recall

This morning on my 2 hour commute, not rare when it rains in this area, I had alot going on in my head.  I used the time this morning to attempt to come to an understand of a few things.  Strangely enough, I just so happen to recall something that I had forgotten about.  When I was younger, there was a time that I wanted to study psychology, not sure what happened or what caused me to not pursue it or even what caused me to forget about it.  I just found that to be interesting and now I…

Are you in the protection and care of a shepherd?

I ran across a facebook post this morning, that read something like, when your beliefs are challanged, you can turn away or stand up, we must stand up and persevere and be as shepards to protect the flock. I wanted to jump all over this one but decided to use it to teach myself something. Here is what I learned so far.

I decided to learn the meanings of the words shepherd, sheep, flock. I will leave it up to those that read this post to see for themselves if they have not already…

THEY ARE STILL OUR SLAVES (an article read by Dee Lee, a Harvard Finacial Educator)

THEY ARE STILL OUR SLAVES We can continue to reap profits from the Blacks without the effort of physical slavery. Look at the current methods of containment that they use on themselves: IGNORANCE, GREED, and SELFISHNESS.

Their IGNORANCE is the primary weapon of containment. A great man once said, "The best way to hide something from Black people is to put it in a book." We now live in the Information Age.. They have gained the…
