Who authorized the authorities?

• Do you ever question the authority of the authorities, the experts, the pundits or are you steeped into the tradition and belief that you must obey? Do you ever challenge the rule, the law, the policy? Who said it was correct or even beneficial to your existence? 
  
  So what happens when after examination you find that both the authorities and the laws they use to support their authority does not have your best interest at heart? Do you still acquiesce, do you still obey and teach your children to conform?
  
  Have you ever considered that from childhood fear was an integral part of your indoctrination into compliance and supporting a system designed to feed off of your efforts and not give equal measure back?
  
  You see violence works my friends and the threat of violence has even longer lasting, far reaching effects. You first experience this violence at home with the beatings, the whippings, the swatting, the spanking, the scolding, the hollering, the threat of what will happen if you ever do that again. Then it is reinforced by damned near every other institution you attend or belong to. 
  
  Your media, your movies, your entertainment, your stories, your politics, your literature, your religions and yes where it is first introduced, your family, all support the notion that if you don't comply bottom line they have the AUTHORITY to kill your ass! Over time and after witnessing and hearing thousands of reports, stories, tales and for some, personal examples of what happens to those that buck the system too hard or too much you give up and become a fucking citizen without ever knowing what a citizen really is.

  Have you ever questioned why in literature and plays and movies the outlaw is the most exciting hero? Isn't there a hope and dream that there is a little Incredible Hulk in all of us or a Michael Corleon or Robin Hood or Bumpy Johnson or Huey Newton or Che or the long list of people that told the system to kiss their asses? Yet, the closet most of you will ever get to being an outlaw is watching their exploits on cable or DVD cause you know you aare not willing to make the ultimate sacrifice.  
  
  While the outlaws and their antics provides wonderful theater how many of you really are convicted enough to lay down your lives for what you want? Hell how many of you would even intervene for your children's welfare? Don't answer, I already know, very, very few. You see violence and the threat of violence actually worked didn't it? 
  
  And still who authorized the authorities because whomever that is are the ones you need to plant your foot in their ass, but that would be difficult because your own foot would be in your own ass. Crutches anyone?

The framers of these united states understood it to be..."We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed..." 

From the CONSENT of the governed.  How that consent is gained?  Reread this post and YOU may see how some gain your consent.
