Quite the Diabolical observation!

Namaska Adam,

I can HEAR you!

This also leaps out at me:

Since the Middle Ages, a "j" has sometimes been substituted for the final "i" of a "lower-case" Roman numeral, such as "iij" for 3 or "vij" for 7. This "j" can be considered a swash variant of "i" (see example [1]). The use of a final "j" is still used in medical prescriptions to prevent tampering with or misinterpretation of a number after it is written.[18][19]

Subnote: I just noticed that the way Dr. Black's site interprets copy/pasted quotes includes the html code in a functional way. As in, those highlighted words in my quoted section, AND the footnote markers at the end? Yes. You can click on them for more. Well done, sir. Well done.

And now I have found the Seleucid empire. This topic really cuts through.

And there is so much more for the one that pays attention..!!!

Following our discussion, about the Roman numeral "C" meaning 100, I realized "C" holds the 3rd position in the alphabet.  Similar to 100 containing 3 digits.  Century from Latin Centum means one hundred.  The Latin prefix centi-also means one hundred as used in centipede, centimeter.  100 is the base of perCENTages.

Namaska Adisa, Now we are learning, how, to convey to the young ones, in such a way , so as to guide them toward an understanding.
