Egomania is but a symptom of the ills that plague our time. The conscious effort of applying such thoughts as we walk together is what leads to the arising of care and engagement with the other. Continued work leads to the understanding that there is no "other", there is only one. I often wonder who decided that "unity" was a concept in mathematics to describe "one."

Powell's thought is quite true; however, the beginning of mass action is born in the heart of the individual and upon recognition of one's connection to all, the individual has a huge and necessary impact upon stimulating mass action simply by means of her conscious relationships. But then, Powell IS speaking about 'secular' law.
