Namaska, I WILL do the WORK! Thank you for pointing the direction.
Kanji (漢字; Japanese pronunciation: [kandʑi] listen), or kan'ji, are the adopted logographic Chinese characters (hànzì)[1] that are used in the modern Japanese writing system along with hiragana and katakana. The Japaneseterm kanji for the Chinese characters literally means "Han characters"[2] and is written using the same characters as the Chinese word hànzì (simplified Chinese: 汉字; traditional Chinese: 漢字).[3]
Interesting I did not see it yesterday, but after reading it in a dictionary I have learned that the Japanese adopted these characters from the Chinese.
YOU are learning "FOR REAL", Bro. Adisa--Namaska
Kan = Chinese + ji = ideography
Ideography a written symbolic symbol which represents something in the nonsymbolic world directly instead of standing for a sound of a word in the language of its users.
ideo-: Greek meaning idea and -graphy from Greek, graphos, meaning something written or drawn.
The opposite of symbol is diabol(ical)
Symbol: from the Greek Symbolon meaning token, watchword, literally that which is thrown or cast together. Taken from Syn (Sym), meaning.together + bole meaning a throwing or casting.
Diabol: from the Greek diablos meaning the devil. Greek Di meaning two, double from Greek Dyo (two) + bole meaning a throwing or casting.
I would bet, that if you were to look at the word for ball in Spanish, Ball is the same as bol is the same as bowl and we are talking about something that is round, like a circle. The complete circle is 360 degrees and the dia-bol is 180 degrees (it, the circle has been cut in half whereas the whole is the symbol).

Namaska Dr. B, this morning I had some sort of dream or my mind was working to really comprehend seeing language as you have. I kept going over and over symbol and diabol looking for the steps to grasp it. After looking at the meaning of devil, I found the clue that gives me clarity regarding what you were pointing to:
Devil, Old English deofol "evil spirit, a devil, the devil, false god, diabolical person," from L.L. diabolus (also the source of It. diavolo, Fr. diable, Sp. diablo; Ger. Teufel is O.H.G. tiufal, from Latin via Goth. diabaulus), from Ecclesiastical Gk. diabolos, in Jewish and Christian use, "Devil, Satan" (scriptural loan-translation of Heb. satan), in general use "accuser, slanderer," from diaballein "to slander, attack," lit. "throw across," from dia- "across, through" + ballein "to throw".
di is the same as dy and deals with the cutting and is applicable to how one performs analysis.
