I am sure that as you were growing up YOU were instructed about National Freedom Day---that this day is a holiday and all about the person that is said TO BE responsible for causing this event to take place---IF NOT---hope this helps.  (B).

I never heard of this day or recall hearing about this day.  Now I see the connection with the month of February being so callled Black History Month.  Some strong thought projections.  This is strange because Freedom Day is a reminder of an enslavement misnomered slavery and the person responsible for freeing "slaves" is relative to the people responsible for "slavery."  How is it considered freedom to be constantly reminded of slavery?
