we've never had to depend on them to think for us or tell what is or is not.
Could this be some small rumblings of power that I am starting to hear?

Agri = field + cultrue = (cultur/cult) till

     1) Till = goal/to aim

     2) Till = strive after/get/breed/cultivate

     3) Till = trick/bait/any cunning contrivance/treachary

Treachary = decieve see disloyalty

The word, Agriculture, can be broken down to many different directions, very interesting!  The more I think about civillization, I see that a few people came along that did not know how to do for themselves.  They took notice of those who did.  They then figured a way to use the skill and knowledge of those that did to somehow enable them to survive, obtain some sort of control, AND get these people in turn to depend on them.

You are on the path and going in a sound direction-NOW-do not reach any conclusions.@Adisa

B.

I remember, conclusions = rabbit hole!

Adisa, you will also see cultivate, and that's a key word. Not only did they learn to cultivate, control plants, but other people they came into contact with also and those that they could not cultivate, domesticate, to make un-wild, they murdered, just like that. Don't take my word for it do the work of looking at what happened to all the free people all over the planet when civilized people came into contact with them. You will find over and over they were either assimilated or annihilated. This is no easy quest, but at the beginning of this post I gave you a framework to work from, The Boiling Frog. It contains a timeline for you. I have done the work, that is a pretty accurate description of what happened.

Much of that information was not written down in history because writing as we know it today was not practiced initially during the beginning of civilization. However, the old stories told of the clashes of the two cultures. Take the story of Cain and Abel in what you call the bible, that is a story of the two cultures clashing, Cain representing the agriculturists and Abel the pastoralist, those who practiced animal husbandry who were the direct descendants of the hunter and gathers societies.

That story, as written in most bibles, is not a story of the Hebrew beginnings as they would have you believe, the so called Hebrews didn't exist then according to their own myths and legends. They only came into existence after their grand patriarch  Abram was born. It is a Sumerain story. Perhaps I have gone too far, but here are a couple of books you can read, The Story of B by Daniel Quinn and The Power of Myth by Bill Moyers and Joseph Campbell.

PLEASE SLOW DOWN, THERE IS A DANGEROUS CLIFF JUST AHEAD!!!! THIS IS A YELLOW LIGHT FLASHING, FOR ALL TO SEE!!!!!!!!!!

Brother Al & the members of inward journey, thank you for leading the way toward the path.  For those who are interested in the discussion about 'civilization', a good place to start with the research-go to wikipedia and put into the search "the story of civilization-You are looking for "will and Ariel Durant", eleven volumes and this is only 'gettin started'.

B.

Did a little research on the couple and just ordered 3 volumes.

READ THIS  POST and then ask the question: Is this talking about me?

@Al- this needs to be moved to the blog tab and then sent out to as many outlets as possible.
