I worked for Response Oncology (a cancer research company) in the late 90s.  They taught all of their employees about how cancer "works".  I worked in the Regulatory Department, and was provided with further education about cancer, including how stem cells work.  In my position, I had access to "protocols" for clinical trials, many of which I read. Very interesting, to say the least.
