In mid-1970, between 3rd and 4th grades at the Besuki School, Obama spent the summer in Hawaii with his grandparents, Stanley and Madelyn Dunham, and interviewed for admission to the Punahou School in Honolulu.^[27] In mid-1971, Obama moved back to Hawaii to live with his grandparents and attend Punahou School starting in 5th grade.  

That is a great question, why are the children in all fifty States not even aware of this instruction and its importance?

Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States attended Panahou School in Hawaii starting in the 5th Grade.  The school's website indicates admission is $22,950 a year.  The school's Course Listing contains "Critical Thinking Requirement" which reads as follows:

Through Critical Thinking, students develop an understanding of what thinking is, how to evaluate it and how to promote the intellectual traits required for effective reasoning. These goals reflect a common set of principles: 

• Understanding is produced through reasoning and can be constructed and created only in the minds of learners.
• Understanding is only as sound as the reasoning that produced it; therefore, to evaluate knowledge, it is necessary to evaluate the reasoning that produced it.
• Reasoning well improves our understanding of all areas of our lives; understanding how we think makes it possible to use knowledge effectively in novel situations. 

Elements and standards of critical thinking have been embedded in the required sophomore English course, so that all Punahou students will have an introduction to Critical Thinking concepts and strategies during the sophomore year.

Appears a foundation in critical thinking was an important foundation to get him started on his way.

I finally starting to see how the concept of race and the erroneous labeling of people made my sister tell me that i was "black" and not a tribal name passed down from my lineage. Blumenbach's science may have been incorrect, but i'm surprised he doesn't have a statue or holiday (like Columbus) with the success of this illusion defined as race. It has erased something that i desire to know more than most things. @Dr. Black The date of the inception of the United States, the date of Blumenbach's concept and you pointing to read the county records in class, (amongst many other things) helped my vision. Thank you!

@Dr. Black Listening, watching and reading are the only ways i know how to gather the information. Thinking and doing are my next steps... but, on somethings i don't know how to take the proper steps to ignite!

Namaska Brandon---U are learning how to turn the key and if you keep working then the lock will open. What you are looking for can not appear just because a person is talking or for what matters even if they are praying --- it will manifest only if there is effort and that particular energy will cause reward.

@Dr. Black I'm still trying to figure all of the points made in this clip. While reading about the Socratic method of learning i recognized some of the same teaching techniques used in class. Mainly asking questions, not giving answers and challenging us on how one certifies what they know. Reading about this method reassures me that i don't know-ledge much. I haven't taken the proper steps to punch holes in all of my temporary conclusions. I wasn't even aware that there are "methods of learnings". Never thought about it! Now i am aware of 2... the Socratic & Scientific. When i talk/share with people, i try to give the source of where i gathered the information from. Rather than sharing like i know or can truly show & prove, i preface the info i share with things like "scholars say" or "Dr. So & so teaches". I think that's a responsible way of sharing? Also, i saw some info about the Pythagorean theorem that i think applies to the clip. But i'm still trying to "figure this thing out". Hmmm?
