@Red, you are correct, things have not changed and things may actually be getting worse. I remember the "Stop the Violence Movement" of 1989, what changed since that time. I was also surprised to find the raise was only $.10 it however must of been enough for those who received it to go back to work and into the conditions, my question is why?

After reading this, I need to put on a jacket! The same thing is still happening today. An unarmed "boy" was just shot down in the street- just like back then. Even with all of that marching and begging, they ( the workers) only received a $0.10 raise!!! Furthermore, in there advanced age, they are STILL working!!!!!

Adisa, This site is a pathway toward an understanding that can help to guide the serious student into a direction that will lead away from the ole "Slave" mentality.
After reading this, I have a changed outlook about what I knew as the civil rights movement. This article confirms my thoughts regarding having to "work" for a living and the conditions some are having to place themselves in to maintain a way of life. The alleged smartest animals seemingly are the only animals on the planet having to depend upon someone else dictating their existence on the planet.
