Why did Atlas shrug?

Atlas was a Titan, ever wonder why he got tired of holding the planet on his shoulders? How can this metaphor help others to unburden themselves? Have you ever really examined the impact of statements like, "You are your brothers keeper" or "To he who much is given much is expected?"

There is the surface intention of those statements, but like all things in the universe there is symmetry at play here. Whatever conclusion you determine from the above statements they both have a counter or shadow intention. To cleave to one and ignore the other may be unwise, at least I would think. It may be a good thing to examine every cliche' that comes our way so that we don't try to live our lives on unexamined platitudes.

Often words and statements have hidden meanings, but they are only hidden from the uninitiated. For those that know how to know it is simply a matter of time before they figure it out for themselves. Wouldn't one with that ability be an illuminati? Lol, actually no, I mean laughing out loud.
