Whoa @Dr. Black  In the book "The wages of whiteness: race and the making of the American working class" It states that the nation was still debating on how to classify the Irish racially. Then it later states that the labor writer George Henry Evan's stated that the 1834 riots was an "unstinting attack was on the 'Mobites'." It said "Evan's defended the rights and humanity of free Blacks"

Now i have heard my Moorish brotha's mention the Mobites' of the bible as an earlier title for Moor many many times. It appears that the underclass Irish were jealous of the status & achievements of people that they may have thought were recently brought from Africa. This... is... very important to know-ledge! I must continue digging for the writing of Evan's and the Mobites' history in America. Thank you for the light and lead to M

what you are now looking upon is not going to be easy to understand and will take some time and a lot of work.  You will have to learn how to NOT use and then allow predispositional thoughts to cause you to see something that is not really there.

@Dr. Black Yes Sir! Please continue to point/lead!

Dr. Black this appears to be what the film "Gangs of New York" was loosely based upon.  The film focused on territorial war between "native born americans" and Irish Catholic immigrants and the civil war that occurred in the Five Points District in New York.

@Adisa---Bingo!!!It appears that you have lights and bells going off over your head and we call that the fireworks---when the abstracts start coming together the pieces fit together and then you can see the picture. I have lived for over a half century and there were Brothers trying to tell us about these events even before I was born. J.A. Rogers and Carter G. Woodson and others constructed insights into such information that all should pay attention to and learn about---connect to this the "draft riots" and then Dutch Shults of the Harlem history-and there is more to come after one does the work.

Dr. Black, are you referring to Duch Shultz the mob boss of the 1920's?  In the research I can see a connection with Irish immigration, nativism, fear of lower wages, less jobs and loss of political standing with the increase of incoming immigrants.  I also see a connection with the "ending of slavery" and the competition for jobs, better wages and political standing.  There also appears to be a connection with religious viewpoints, but it seems each time the uprising started it was diverted onto the so called black people.

@Adisa-The Dutch felt that they were the original americans and the Dutchman was one of those who thought this way.

Most of the events that are said to have been riots were actually 'pograms' aimed at the so-called black populations.

B.

Dr. Black I have come across information from the book, "How the Irish became white."  So far in my search I have come to understand how/why the pograms started and a connection of people of Irish heritage have a long family history with law enforcement and fire emergency careers specifically in the Northern areas.  So much information!

Adisa--this will be a very important abstract later in your studies.

B.

This can possibly be information (the thread) that is needed for next month.  People who do not know, NEED TO KNOW!!!!!
