What is the correct way to pronounce a word that has come to us from other languages.

There seems to be confusion about Namaste and Namaska, this discussion may allow those that are serious about finding out, just how to do the work that needs to be done in this case.

Read the above link and then try to apply the thoughts to what is being talked about below----

In fact, there is not much difference between Namaste & Namaskar. The only bit difference is that Namaste has been invented by western people because almost behind all their names the pronounciation of 't' is added to give the weight/age. The orientation of Namaskar is rooted in 'kar'. Kar in Hindi reflects two meanings; one means Hand and the other means Deeds. It was derived out of Surya Vandana. When the sun rises, one has to fold his hands and do worship of Sun. It is from here that 'Namaskar' (Suryanamaskar) has come into existence. OK ? No matter what you like, but kindly pay or do your Namaste or Namaskar to your liked ones. It certainly increases your level of awareness and moreover it gives you a chance to surrender yourself before others, at least for a moment. Love: Shantam

And, Namaska is the way people in east Africa brought the word to Swahili.
