Thank you for introducing me to the writting of Octavia Butler.  I'm am reading Parable of the Sower and I really am IN-joying her book.  She is one of two authors that have made the pages come to life for me and forget I am reading a story.  James McEachin's Farewell to the Mockingbirds and Octavia Butler's Parable of the Sower are now my two favorite reads.
