I tried the link and the page has been deleted.

This symbol is the Deela-Malkh Flyfot.  The Malkh is a festival dedicated to the Deela-Malkh of Vainakh mythology.  Deela or Dela is the supreme god/creator of heaven, earth, man and woman of the Vainakh people.  The Deela-Malkh is the sun god of the Vainakh people and the Malkh Festival is held on 25 December, the birthday of the son, in honor of the deity.  Interestingly enough, the Vainakh or nakh people practiced tree worship and the pear tree is one of the trees that receive special consideration.

This symbol is a sun cross, solar cross or wheel cross.  Although this symbol is now identified as a symbol for the Earth, its beginnings as its name identifies are with the sun.  The swastika is derived from this symbol.

I found something interesting today in a book/ pamphlet called CHRISTMAS CUSTOMS AND RECIPES AROUND THE WORLD (Revised Edition Second Printing 1960)

Czechoslovakia

Czechoslovaks celebrate their Vanoche ( Christmas) in much the same way as do all of the Slavic countries.  This Holy Season begins with the Advent and on the 6th of December  St. Nicholas ( legend has it that he descends from Heaven by a golden cord) accompanied by his Angel and devil visits the children where each child's record is read from his large book.  Good children are to be rewarded and the bad children are to be spanked.
