Really love this post! Some great information may be obtained from this thread. I can not wait to continue to explore what I have found so far on the following:
XMAS/CHRISTMAS
“Xmas” is not originally an attempt to exclude Christ from Christmas, but uses an abbreviation of the Greek spelling of the word “Christ” with the “X” representing the Greek letter chi.
Chi is identified as energy is Chinese customs and also is in the word CHInese itself!
In traditional Chinese culture, qi (more precisely qì, also chi, ch'i or ki) is an active principle forming part of any living thing.[1][2][3]Qi is frequently translated as "natural energy", "life force", or "energy flow". Qi is the central underlying principle in traditional Chinese medicine and martial arts. The literal translation of "qi" is "breath", "air", or "gas".
The word spirit can also be traced to breath. The holy spirit is called the comforter in the Bible and actually means the sacred breath. The image below is named The Red Cross of Constantine and the Chi is represented in this symbol.
I will definately look into this more, but Chi also represents or is a god in Igbo mythology also known as Odinani. In just a short period of time, I have been able to link or connect several pieces of information and will no doubt chuckle to myself when I hear or read, "We must put the Christ back in Christmas!"
