DIALOGUE AND DISCUSSION ON EDUCATION, ENVIRONMENT AND RACE

"But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”
Earth — the third of the classical elements — is represented by the downward-pointing triangle intersected by a horizontal line. A feminine principle. Symbolically maternal.
Mater means mother, materia meaning the substance from which something is made. Matter itself carries the imprint of the feminine.
Much emphasis is placed on “woman” coming after "man",
but the text shows something easily overlooked:
Before man became a living soul, he was fashioned from the feminine essence of water and earth.
And if Earth is the maternal principle, then the first mother wasn’t named Eve. It was Earth itself.
