Drapetomania

Drapetomania was a supposed mental illness described by physician Samual Cartwright that caused "black slaves" to feel captivity.

When I first read about this "illness", the thought that entered my mind was, if the need to escape bondage is an illness, then what is the illness that causes one to accept bondage?  Dr. B, I'm sure there are layers upon layers of mental health issues built upon this foundation.  I can almost understand how some choose to remain ignorant or detach from reality about the things that have and still happen on this planet.

That's funny, because on the Underground Railroad Training I wear a pair of overalls  Drapetomaniac stenciled on them. It has been there since 1998. I first read about this alleged condition in a pamphlet the Church of Scientology put on Black men and psychiatry. I would love to get that pamphlet again. I let someone see it and I forgot who and you know the story.

There is much more than one can understand that is happening at the present time because of this particular mental technology. Very important to look into regarding, what has transpired because of the creation of this "disease".
