Are they one and the same symbol?

Pisces Symbol

It appears to me, if the pisces symbol were rotated onto its side, the connecting bar were removed and the two arcs were reversed and merged you would have one variation of the Ichtys

Ichthys Symbol

The Ichthys symbol also known as the sign of the fish or Jesus fish can sometimes be seen on vehicles operating on the road way.  This fish symbol reminded me of the Egyptian Hieroglyph for what would become the letter X.  The letter X known as Chi in the Greek alphabet is also used in another symbol that is associated with Christianity.  The symbol or the Christogram contains the letter X or the Greek Chi and the symbol is named the Chi-Rho.  When one discovers the hieroglyph of the X or the Chi, it may give some insight regarding the use of the Jesus fish as a symbol that represents Christianity.

I was watching the a show on the history channel about the bible and religion and head the name "HaSatan." As I started researching the name HaSatan, I saw the symbol of the character "X" inside of a circle, which I learned was called "Teth" by the Phonecians and meant "wheel."  This symbol is called "Tet" in the Hebrew language, Ta in the Arabic language and led to the Greek Theta.  Theta is the ninth letter in the Greek alphabet and also the ninth letter in Semetic writing systems.  I also recalled seeing this symbol in the popular comic book series now seen on the movie screen.

According to one of the dictionaries; Rune:  any of the characters of certain ancients alphabets, as of script used for writing the Germanic languages especially of Scandinavia and Britain, from A.D. c200 - c1200.  [Icelandic- a secret, writing, runic character replacing Middle English a writing counsel, speech, Old English akin to whisper]

(1935 Columbia Encyclopedia) Runes:  the alphabet of ancient Germans probably used first among the East Goths about the 3rd century as an imitation of a Greek cursive script.  The first six signs used were for f, u, th, a (o), r, k hence the name Futhorc for the runic alphabets.

The Anglo-Saxon runes (also Anglo-Frisian), also known as futhorc (or fuþorc), is a runic alphabet, extended from the Elder Futhark from 24 to between 26 and 33 characters. They were used probably from the 5th century onward, recording Old Englishand Old Frisian.

The sig rune (or Siegrune) originated from the Sowilo rune symbol which meant sun.

Fylfot or swastika

After looking at the above symbol, I noticed it looked like four gimels attached.  The gimel derived from the boomerang heiroglyph.  I also calculated 360 degrees considering each 90 degree angle.  It was interesting to uncover another name for this fylfot or swastika is the gammadion or the tetra-gammadion.

Gimel symbol

The name tetra-gammadion reminded me of the tetragrammaton.  The Yodh, the first letter of the tetragrammaton actually resembles the gimel.

n 2006, MasterCard International underwent another name change to MasterCard Worldwide. This was done in order to suggest a more global scale of operations. In addition, the company introduced a new corporate logo adding a third circle to the two that had been used in the past (the familiar card logo, resembling a Venn diagram, remains unchanged).

A Venn diagram or set diagram is a diagram that shows all possible logical relations between a finite collection of sets. Venn diagrams were conceived around 1880 by John Venn. They are used to teach elementary set theory, as well as illustrate simple set relationships in probability, logic, statistics, linguistics and computer science.

The study of signs and symbols is something that we do in class, what you are doing with this particular symbol will in the future become a part of our discussion.
